Industrial Humidification Basics

For some industrial manufacturing and storage facilities, humidity control is a must. Industrial humidification can control the temperature and humidity level of a factory or plant to accommodate whatever is being produced or housed. Often times mechanical devices and products such as lumber and plants require a specific humidity level to function or produce properly. There are many different types of misting and humidity control systems that can suite any type of industry.

Overhead humidity control systems work to keep a whole warehouse within a humidity range. Often times these systems can be customized to service a large open area or multiple rooms. Whatever the case may be, a system can be made specifically for the needs of the space. Many misting and humidification companies specialize in making custom high pressure systems to control the environment.

These systems work by releasing incredibly small water droplet’s into the environment. These droplets will evaporate before they reach the floor. The nozzles that release these droplets can be placed high above the ceiling. They will usually be installed in uniform distance from each other to ensure that the space is evenly controlled. This high pressure delivery system will control the humidity level to meet any needs. It’s even possible to have state of the art sensors installed as well. These sensors can be programmed to read humidity levels and turn on or off accordingly. Once a designated humidity level is programmed with the sensors, the system will activate once the levels drop below the assigned measurements. This can make the humidification process much easier. It’s one less thing that has to be monitored constantly.

Industrial humidification systems are crucial for many types of industries. For industrial greenhouses for example, humidification can affect the product’s integrity. Many plants and crops need a specific level of humidification to grow properly. It can make an overall difference in the product, making the plants grow to their fullest capabilities or just being average sized. In the lumber industry, humidity level is key for the curing and treating process. The strength and durability of the final product can be affected by humidity levels.

Whatever the industry may be, having a reliable and efficient humidity control system can make all the difference. They are easy systems to install and maintain, but can be one of the most important components of any successful industrial space.
